- Increased foreign interest in Atmosphere Trade Show
March 15, Atmosphere Trade Show closed its doors on yet another successful show. As expected, visitor numbers were up – this time by 25%. A staggering 37% of all visitors came from outside North America.
Yasmina Kurdistani Marketing Manager for Atmosphere trade Show, is delighted that the Los Angeles fashion week is attracting so many visitors. She is somewhat puzzled about the criticism levelled at the industry by the media in connection with the lack of foreign buyers at the fashion fairs:
“At Atmosphere Trade Show, we have definitely seen an increase in foreign interest in our exhibitors. We can and must become better at focusing on the foreign markets and at marketing American fashion internationally. But since 37% of our visitors come from abroad, we have to conclude that Atmosphere Trade Show is getting through to foreign buyers and to the international media,” says Yasmina Kurdistani.

Since the holidays in countries such as Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland traditionally take place in March, visitor numbers at Atmosphere are generally lower in March than in October. It is therefore worth noting that France is well represented at the fair in Fourth place, despite the holiday period. The majority of Atmosphere’s foreign visitors come from United Kingdom, and Germany. These countries are also the largest buyers of American fashion.
